Pritchard Advises Resident (who broke a law) to GET A GUN!
- From a REPUBLICAN: Two months before the proposed ordinance was presented
before the Commission, Pritchard wrote ... "Our country is 'such a mess'
because of too many "feel good" people with 'feel good' issues."
- bully n. A person who is mean or cruel to weaker people;
one who intimidates by oppression or threat of violence; Mr. Pritchard
- The council very wisely did not go along with him and he was mad and
red-faced when he did not get his way!
- Pritchard is just a little guy with an ego problem drinking out of a
little milk carton.
- It's hard to believe Pritchard could top Randy O'Brien's act, but he did.
- I only had one ... (encounter) ... with Pritchard and it regarded the Valkaria Airport/FIT
flight school debate. I simply said that I did not think it a good idea for the small
benefit it would bring to the overall bottom line numbers. He immediately replied
that obviously I do not know finances, budgets, etc. or I would not make such a dubious comment.
I then made Pritchard aware that for 35 years I worked in the D.C. area as a Director of
Finance for government contractors subbing to NASA-Goddard and had authority for several
contracts over two billion dollars!
- Why do you let him rile you so? Does anyone really pay attention to his
web site other than his built-in audience of Tom Mcgill, George Reynolds,
and Steve Webster?
- I think people would like a Commissioner who respects their opinions and realizes
that they are public servants to all of their constituents, not be out to "nail" anyone
or to "get a gun". Perhaps a Commissioner who can foster an atmosphere of inclusion and
cooperation instead of confrontation and intimidations would be more beneficial
to the community.
- Let's talk voting record. You ever vote to not approve an AU zoning request to RR1 on
North Merritt Island regardless of North Merritt Island Board vote to maintain current
zoning? I don't think so. You are the candidate who has consistently voted to increase
density for your developer 'buddies' and do to Brevard what you claim was the reason
you left South Florida ,namely too much density and inadequate infrastructure.
During the Fire Assessment hearing last week, I saw Pritchard complain
that Brevard needed to
do zero-based budgeting to determine how costs can be cut to reduce the increase
being requested. This went on for several minutes. A few minutes later he said the
solution was to streamline approvals of development to get more property on the
rolls and increase tax revenues. The guy isn't playing with a full deck.
- Both Ron Pritchard and Bob Allen want senior's vote but can't give them an hour
of their time to attend a function. As a member of AARP, I've witnessed them
breezing in and out of our functions. Not even willing to sit down and
have a meal with seniors...at least not on Merritt Island.
- At a public homeowners meeting, the subject of
heavy traffic on Wickham Road in Melbourne came up.
Pritchard stood up and said that the problem was caused not
by unchecked growth or development, but by homeowners
in the area who only wanted single road access through
their neighborhoods. It was their fault for having
only 1 access road through their neighborhoods.
- "High Rise" Ronnie says he does not want to make
Brevard look like Palm Beach, but then votes for an 11
story high rise condo on the river and says they are
good. (Good for his developer contributors).
- If the other side resorts to slogans, drown them out with "Pitch the Pritch"
- Omigod!!!! I could hardly believe my eyes. The meetings are becoming
so entertaining that people may start attending or tuning in just to see
what he does next.
- INCREDIBLE!!! There is a term for all that. Paranoia.
- ...I find it most interesting that one of the letters that you had
posted on the public website, that attacked Commissioner Colon is
now gone.....plus the letter to Florida Today titled "Burk Burps"
where you stated: "If her virtues are representative of her convoluted
thinking I can only imagine how flawed her character must be."
is now cleaned up and that statement has been eliminated.
- ... and post a letter from a constituent that attacks another Commissioner
and vehemently defend your right to do these things, then turns around and
rewrites or eliminates them...Who do you think you are kidding?
Amazing. You truly are amazing ....
- The last time I checked into the ownership of the Florida Today Newspaper,
I believe it was not publicly owned or financed. On the other hand,
you seem to believe that the Brevard County public website should be
your own personal sounding board to defend your actions and only print
what YOU feel is factual in YOUR opinion.
- The debate lasted two hours and concluded with Pritchard making a speech and making
no apologies to the many injured parties whom he has belittled and
intimidated. .... Commissoner Colon did caution him about putting
personal emails on his website and listening more to his constituents that
voice concerns.
- I knew Ron Pritchard was an ass the first time I saw him on SCGTV,
but I gave him the benefit of the doubt until the plane ride
scandal. I hope the voters of Merritt Island are wise to his
corruption and elect a better, honest candidate this year.
- ... You clearly mistake being personally
hostile and inappropriately provocative towards your constituents,
with being a responsive elected official.... It doesn't speak well of the regard
you have for your
constituents or your office that you revel in being a publicly financed boor.
I look forward to you being called to account for your uncalled-for and
unprovoked discourtesy towards the public trust.
- By just posting only pro-Pritchard letters, he is essentially
campaigning with public funds. He is spending time uploading letters,
scanning letters, and then the website manager is maintaining this site.
All this is paid by taxpayers. Commissioner Pritchard just responded to me
that he is the judge and that I won't like that ... He is making Brevard
County government look like a big joke at this point.
- I found your "response" in the latest HAPPENINGS offensive and not what
one would expect from someone who is supposedly "educated" and who holds the
important position of County Commissioner. To personally attack any Brevard
County constituent as you did, should be reason to disqualify you from your
post as Chairman of the County Commissioners.....
- We are having a serious problem here in Brevard County and I implore
you to offer a resolution in this matter immediately. We are losing good
employees and good citizen participation and input because of a Commissioner's
combative tactics. Commissioner Ron Pritchard, is not abiding by state and
local laws in his behavior and conduct. It is my belief that he is specifically
violating the following Florida Statute, Title IX, Chapter 106.15, Paragraph (3).
Commissioner Pritchard is up for re-election in 2006 and has recently begun
using the Brevard County Public Website to post letters from various
constituents that only praise him in his positions and issues, but worse,
some actually attack fellow commissioners, other county officials, as well as
members of the public. He stated that only he is the judge as to what
gets posted.
- I have been watching the Commission meeting going on at this writing and
feel the next time that Mr. Pritchard has such an outburst after you have
basically ruled him "out of order", he NEEDS to be expelled from the meeting
by law enforcement...You would still have a quorum without Mr. Pritchard to carry
on the meeting.
- Chairman Pritchard allowed only one speaker from the public in
attendance to address the issue. Discussion then took place and Chair
Pritchard conducted a vote. Five speakers were denied the opportunity
to address the Board prior to taking a decision. It was clearly pointed
out to Chairman Pritchard that he had failed to take all public input prior
to calling the vote. He was specifically asked to reconsider the issue after
all comment had been taken and failed to do so
- ... (Pritchard) just gets nastier. I was at the League of Women Voters
Board Meeting (I'm on the board) and he had sent an awful, vicious letter to
us because ........had dared to criticize him in the League's newsletter,
the Voter. She hadn't even mentioned his name just the incivility.
We must get him out.
- I do not want my taxpayer dollars being used by a commissioner
to insult fellow commissioners, verbally abuse the citizens of this
county, or attack county staff. This disrespect for anyone with a
different opinion has to stop. Everyone has the right to be heard
with open minds, civility and without insults, either at the podium
or on the website.
- Pritchard has a saying "If you are going to do anything to hurt
Brevard County, I'll nail you." Well, he only has to look in the
mirror to find a target. Pritchard's negative, snide commentary in
these letters is bizarre and unbecoming of an elected official, …
He will get no benefit from this letter, except perhaps a psychological
boost to his reptilian brain.
- One lady has lived here her whole life and lives in Indialantic.
She and her husband, a doctor, wrote a note to each county commissioner
stating their opposition to the kayak fee. They all returned a note, but
Ron's was so belligerent and out of line. He told them to get their head
out of their ass. He is psychotic! Impeachment is in order!
- …. self- serving promotion to tell taxpayers, at their expense, that the Mitchell Ellington Park on Hall Road on North Merritt Island is "Your Taxes at Work" with your name underneath. How much of the overrun budget was spent on this ego trip. If your defense is that it was not paid for with Taxpayer dollars then it must be a Campaign sign that is placed in violation of the County policy BCC-54 and BCC-55. To imply or otherwise misdirect that any one elected to political office was solely responsible for the building, project or a site paid for by taxpayer dollars is both ignorant and arrogant. Enough is enough.
